Eso Tilin Projects exists as an experimental 12:1 scale project space/ curatorial practice founded in 2021 by Noah Reyes & Sergio Suarez. It embraces the work of artists from emerging to established, providing a space for practices to unfold, expand and perhaps diverge according to the artist's needs. What makes Eso Tilin Projects unique and adaptable is that it is not tied down to a single location, but can travel around Atlanta, meeting artists and their communities. With its transitory nature and small stature, Eso Tilin Projects encourages a sense of playfulness with experimentation. This project is a joint effort between Noah & Sergio to give artists like themselves more opportunities, funding, and a space to push their work in surprising directions, bypassing material and spatial constraints. It is our project's goal to venture out into various parts of Atlanta to bridge artists and communities, activating public spaces and re-framing the art viewing experience. Eso Tilin Projects is a miniature gallery space that fits atop a custom built pedestal, all of which can be packed up in a pick-up truck. With money from the Idea Capital grant Eso Tilin projects would be able to continue its operations by paying exhibiting artists, maintaining the upkeep of the space, and help with tools to better promote events. Eso Tilin Projects requires funds to construct a ramp or mechanism to safely unload and load the space upon the aforementioned pick up truck. This is important because it not only makes it more efficient to access the space but it also would help us ensure a safer practice of transportation when partnering with multiple entities within Atlanta. Money we receive would also pay five exhibiting artists $200 each and allow them the opportunity to sell their work through Eso Tilin Projects while keeping 100% of any sales they make. With all this in mind, we humbly request the amount of $2000 to continue as well as improve the operations of Eso Tilin Projects.
