José Ibarra Rizo will continue to build his ongoing portrait series titled Somewhere In Between. This body of work documents the migrant experience in the South. The subjects in this series represent a community that is rarely included and misrepresented in American Fine Art. Originally a photo-based project, Somewhere In Between will be expanding into video in the form of short films thanks to the support of the Idea Capital Grant.
