The Idea Capital Grant Cycle Is Now Open
Hear Ye, Hear Ye Filmmakers, Performers, Visual Artists, Poets, Novelists, Dancers and Atlanta Creatives of Every Stripe
Atlanta artists, performers, filmmakers, musicians, curators and writers from various disciplines are encouraged to apply through Monday, October 29 at 11:59 PM. All grants are awarded based on the merit of the application, proposed budget, and at the discretion of the Idea Capital Steering Committee and the Grant Panel.
New for 2018: the Antinori Visual Artist Grant
Sponsored by Atlanta arts patron Susan Antinori, a longtime supporter of the city’s creative scene, the Antinori Visual Artist Grant is offered annually to visual artists working in traditional and non-traditional 2-D and 3-D media and funds the pursuit of a specific project idea in painting, sculpture, ceramics or mixed media. This must be a new project original in concept, design and execution.
Eligibility: Visual artists who have been working in the visual arts in Atlanta for a minimum of five years.
Grant amount: $2000 – $5000 based on proposal request
Additional grant opportunities:
General Idea Capital Grant – Awards from $500 to $2,000
Idea Capital Travel Grant – A research and development travel grant up to $2000 for an Atlanta-based artist to further develop his or her artistic practice.
Margaret Kargbo Artist as Activist Grant – Awards projects focused on social justice and activism in amounts up to $2,000.
